Fred Mitchell Isaacs, Esq.

Fred Isaacs grew up on the Purdue University campus. Following his military service, Fred earned his B.A. summa cum laude, majoring in History and minoring in English Literature, French, and Latin; did post-graduate studies in Latin; and then earned his J.D. at the University of Notre Dame. Fred served a total of 15 years in state and federal judicial clerkships in the Seventh and Ninth Circuits; two years in large firm commercial litigation with the Portland-based law firm of Miller, Nash, Wiener, Hager & Carlsen (now Miller Nash Graham & Dunn, LLP) and with the Indianapolis law firm of Ice, Miller, Donadio & Ryan (now Ice Miller, LLP); nine years as the senior consultant with Follansbee & Associates; and then founded Jurisconsult, LLC in 2006. 

Since 2000, Fred has served as a law professor at Marylhurst University in its graduate business (MBA) department, first as an adjunct and, since 2008, as regular full-time faculty. Fred has designed and taught seminars and courses in Business Law, Employment and Labor Law, Environmental Law, Ethics, Health Care Law, Human Resources Law, and Negotiation and Conflict Resolution.  He has received the University's Academic Excellence in Teaching Award and twice won the University's MBA Instructor of the Year Award. He currently serves as Director of Graduate Business Programs and as a Faculty Senator, and was formerly Chair of the Graduate College.

Fred is a member of numerous federal and state bars, including the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the Seventh Circuit, and the Ninth Circuit; and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana as well as the District of Oregon.




Nancy Katherine Neal Isaacs, MA, MBA
Office Manager

Nancy was born and raised in central Indiana. Although not a lawyer herself, Nancy has spent most of her life in and around lawyers and judges while working in courthouses. She is married to a lawyer, her father-in-law is a lawyer, and she is a descendant of the Honorable Stephen Neal of Indiana, perhaps best remembered as one of the architects of the original draft of the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Prior to joining Jurisconsult as its Office Manager, Nancy spent 26 years as the Judicial Assistant to two senior judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit: the Honorable John F. Kilkenny and the Honorable Otto R. Skopil, Jr. She is a graduate of Indiana University (B.G.S., 1984), Holy Apostles College and Seminary (M.A. Theology, 2004) and Marylhurst University (MBA, 2011). Additionally, she has been a faculty member of the University of Phoenix since 2008, where she teaches an undergraduate course in comparative religions.
